Sony Ipod interface

Function.

1. Directly connect Ipod to Head unit, not by FM transmitter.

2. Play your music in the Ipod though your head unit system with optimal sound quality.

3. Ipod connected, the display says "IPOD", the display says "NO IPOD" when no Ipod connected.

4. Control function:

A)Switch play list from Ipod using DISC+/- button

B)Switch the last and the next

C)Control Ipod playback and forward

D)Repeat the same item or replay the list

E)Play at random

F)Browse and scan 10 seconds before every item playing

5. When in "No Ipod" mode, you can operate Ipod manually to switch it to Ipod mode and play Ipod automatically.

6. When connected your sony ipod interface, it will automatically charge your ipod and ready for on the go use. Ipod power supply is off when head unit powers off.

7. AUX audio input function; Make the high quality sound input from external link device.

8. Support Sony DVD changer and CD changer. Use Sony Jack to connect Sony DVD changer.

9. Ipod connection cable length is 1. 5M(cable length for sample is shorter)

Test for Sony unit:

There are two sony head units for testing, one is MD head unit from Japan, the other is common CD player, all are head units with MD/CD control function.

Sony Head unit used Ipod controller inserted to head unit's DVD changer port, also have audio cable connected with head unit. We also have a sony dvd changer adapter for testing.

Two head units are playing music from dic boxes. The display says CD1

Head unit comes to Ipod mode by pressing MODE press; The display says NO IPOD because of no Ipod connected. The disk name of head unit display is CD2

Insert Ipod to controller, Head unit recognizes and displays as Ipod, then ready to play or go to other operation.

When Ipod is playing, What the head unit displays is the play list from Ipod, the track displays the playing song, meantime displays the time of song
