As a highly effective agent, Propylene carbonate is used to get rid of carbon dioxide in petroleum vapor, oil splitting gas, casing head gas, synthetic ammonia, plasticizer, textile agent or dispersant of water soluble dye and pigment, oil solvent and extraction agent of alkene and aromatic hydrocarbon, excellent medium in lithium cells industry and solvent of polymers. Moreover, PC can be used as a fine carbonization agent in producing carbonates.

Dimethyl carbonate, with molecular formula C4H8O3, structural formula, is a colorless and transparent liquid can be mixed with organic solvents such as alcohols, ketones, esters etc in any proportion but slightly soluble in water.

4. Application:

(1) It can be used as adhesion promoter in polysulfide, polyvinyl chloride plastisol, sillcone, one-and two-part urethanes, and epoxy adhesives and sealants.

(2), as additive in phenolic and epoxy molding compounds, also can be used as additive to latex coatings, adhesives and sealants

Silane 602 may be used as an additive, eliminating the need for special primers in numerous bonding applications.

Specific systems that demonstrate improved adhesion Silane 602 used are:

A), RTV silicones and hybrid silane-crosslinked sealants

Silane 602 addition to one-and tow-part silicone-crosslinked sealants improves adhesion to a variety of substrates, including glass, aluminum and concrete. Silane 602 provides enhanced adhesion performance without negatively impacting elongation. It is added at a loading of 0.5 to 1.0 percent by weight.

B), Polysulfide sealants

When added to one-and two-part polysulfide sealants, Silane 602 provides better adhesion to a variety of substrates, including glass, aluminum and steel. Silane 602 is typically used at a loading of 0.5to 1.0 percent by weight of the sealant. It disperses well into the sealant and produces cohesive failure in the sealant rather than adhesive failure of the bond between the sealant and the substrate. Furthermore, the use of Silane 602 eliminates the need for primers, Normally required to achieve adhesion adhesion to surfaces.

C), Plastisol sealants

Adding Silane 602 as a replacement for polyaminoamide adhesion promoters in plastisol sealants improves bonding to metal substrates. In addition to increased strength, the silane modifiedd plastisol sealant adhesion promoters. Silane 602modified systems have a very light color, and the cured compound is bubble-free.

Additive in phenolic and epoxy molding compounds,

Silane 602, as an additive in phenolic and epoxy molding compounds, reduces the water absorption of molded composites. This, in turn, leads to improves wet electrical properties, particularly at low frequencies.

5. Packing and storage:

(1) Packing: 25kg/pail or 200 kg/drum or other packing on request.

(2) This product must be sealed and kept in cool & ventilated place.
