Typical Properties: Grayish-white powder or granule with little odor, no poison. The density is 1.31-1.34. The melting point is more than 96 'C. Soluble inToluene, Chloroform, benzene, CS2, CH2Cl2, acetone, ethyl acetate, insoluble in water, gasoline, acid/Alkali with lower concentration. Good storage stability.

Recommended Applications: In natural and synthetic rubber tire compounds; CBS is normally used alone or with small quantities of secondary accelerators in combination with sulfur. In industrial rubber products, CBS can be used with secondary accelerators, like as the TMTD to replace MBTS/DPG systems. CBS can also be used in EPDM and NBR compounding as the primary accelerator, giving good scorch delay and fast cure rates. CBS can be (in combination with CTP) used as an alternative for NOBS. It can avoid the problem caused by N-nitrosamines. And it also has the equal function on scorch safety and faster cure rate as NOBS.

Application

Printex H6 can be combined in any retio with other Thickeners such as Texprint C6, CMC, some kinds of Gum and Synthetic Polymers etc. It has good compatibility with other Thickeners.

Stock Thickening Preparation

Printex H6: 4Kg

Water: 96Kg

Stock Thickening: 100Kg

Printex H6 is added to water while stirring with high speed stirrer, which takes about 1-2 minutes until the viscosity increases.

The stock should be stand for another few hours to permit complete swelling, but not overnight.

The finally, short stirring the stock thickening is ready for use.

Remark: Printex H6 dissolves easy in cold water, if dissolved in water with hardness of 12.5E, additional of 1-2g Polyphosphate per Kg stock solution is recommended, but not EDTA. The srock solution should be preserved with suitable Preserving Agent if stored before use, (Formaldehyde 1-2g/Kg)
